The first edition of the Young Entrepreneurs Development Program (PDJE) has come to an end. The initiative is supported by the Odebrecht Foundation (FO), which contributes toward the professional training of 18 individuals from Bahia’s Baixo Sul region.

On October 6, the last meeting was held at the Odebrecht head office in Salvador to deliver the certificates and present a talk by Emílio Munaro, Educational Director at Microsoft, under the theme “Brazil: Challenges and Opportunities".

During 411 hours of training, which took place over a period of three years, the participants were able to come into contact with different topics from the business world through videos, book abstracts, presentations, films and case analyses, such as those of the companies InBev, Gerdau, General Electric and Odebrecht. They were also amble to increase their knowledge of Odebrecht Entrepreneurial Technology, its Principles, Concepts and Criteria.

The youth also had the opportunity to learn more about the thinking of great leaders such as Jorge Paulo Lemann, Jorge Gerdau, Norberto Odebrecht, Abílio Diniz, Jack Welch and Bill Gates.

“The youth are aware of the challenges they are assuming,” said Clovis Faleiro, the professional responsible for Institutional Relations at FO and coordinator of PDJE. “Now, they must become committed to self-development, which means discipline, determination, dedication, boldness and lots of sweat,” said Faleiro.

For Celeste Pereira, one of the participants of the Executive Board of the Law and Citizenship Institute (IDC), this training allowed her to develop more effective operations at IDC. “It was a unique opportunity to improve my professional knowledge, primarily that associated with the areas of Management and Entrepreneurship,” said Pereira.
