We center our activities on regions affected by social and environmental vulnerabilities whose socioeconomic indicators suggest the need for intervention.
Our social technology has been tested in the Southern Bahia Lowlands, in the northeast of Brazil, a region which contrasts an abundance of natural resources with low Human Development Indicators.
The selection of this location to test this technology was due to Norberto Odebrecht`s vision and awareness that the region was affected by major social inequalities. This choice was confirmed by the diagnosis demonstrated in the following indicators:

From an environmental point of view, the Southern Lowlands represents a contradiction. On the one hand, rich biodiversity, regular rainfall, predominance of the Atlantic Rainforest biome, and important remaining forests. On the other, impacts caused by the suppression of ciliary forests, reduction of forest coverage, and pollution of watercourses that receive sewage and pesticides, due to inadequate management.
