According to the 2019 Brazil Giving Report, organized by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), the act of donating resources to social, religious or sponsored organizations in Brazil is performed by seven in every ten people. Encouraged by growth in the culture of donating in the country, individuals and companies have been placing solidarity and social responsibility as their priorities.
Therefore, for a significant number of third sector institutions, holding donation campaigns is one of the main ways of mobilizing resources, to make viable the execution of social projects. Donating time, financial resources, volunteering to work alongside a NGO, or helping a stranger, are some of the many ways in which we can become engaged in community development.
We have been coordinating a campaign to mobilize resources in Brazil since 2004, called Tribute to the Future (Tributo ao Futuro), where individuals and companies choose to take part in educating teenagers.
