The announcement was made on Friday (27), on the website of the Best NGOs Award, the largest third sector award in the country. The initiative by Instituto Doar, in partnership with the Institute O Mundo Que Queremos, recognizes annually organizations that stand out for the quality of their management and transparency, serving as a reference for donors and volunteers, aiding their decision-making about which entity to direct their financial support and volunteer hours. For the second consecutive year, the Foundation is part of the list of the top 100 NGOs in the country, which is available on the website: https://www.premiomelhores.org/lista-das-100-melhores-ongs-de-2023/
“This recognition follows our constant evolution and maturity; it is a reflection of a commitment made by all our members and related parties. In recent years we have increased our capacity to extend benefits, contributing to the construction of a more harmonious, fair society with equal opportunities for all. We take on even greater challenges that bring us increasingly closer to achieving the vision of being recognized for multiplying socio-environmental impact solutions for the construction of a sustainable future,” stated Fabio Wanderley, superintendent of the Foundation.
The Best NGOs Award saw the registration of thousands of organizations from among the approximately 800,000 existing throughout the country. Only 238 institutions were approved for the third and final phase. From these, the 100 winners were selected, with no ranking among them, based on five major cross-cutting themes of transparency and management in organizations: Cause and Action Strategy, Representation and Responsibility, Management and Planning, Financing Strategy, Communication and Accountability.
“The Best NGOs recognizes organizations that are committed to doing good in all ways, for all audiences, in all causes,” says Alexandre Mansur, project director of the Instituto O Mundo Que Queremos. The highlights in the special categories will be announced during the official award ceremony, scheduled to take place in December 2023. In addition to the top 100, awards will be given to the best NGOs by state, cause, the ten best small NGOs, the best among them and the Best NGO of the Year. In 2022, the Foundation was voted the best NGO in the state of Bahia.
