The Family Agroforest Home (CFAF), a teaching unit supported by the Odebrecht Foundation, was considered by the Petrobras Development & Citizenship Program in the category of “Education for Professional Qualification.” The public bid is designed to provide support for social projects that promote social transformation and help reduce inequalities in the country’s most excluded communities. The result was announced on October 25 at the head office of the Waly Salomão Cultural Center in Rio de Janeiro.
A total of 5,183 bids were sent in, of which 113 stood out and were selected. Of these 40 are from the country’s Northeastern region. The program also presents two more lines of operation: “Guarantee of the Rights of Children and Adolescents” and “Generation of Income and Job Opportunities”.
The project entered by CFAF was elaborated in partnership with the company Ecoar Inovação e Sustentabilidade and the Alliance for Sustainable Production. The latter is associated with Bahia’s Baixo Sul Environmental Protection Area Mosaic Integrated and Sustainable Development Program. The amount of the investment, which will be used for the professional training offered by the Home, is R$ 992,353.60, divided into two annual payments.
With the support received, the home plans to increase its operations and assist more families of the youth and their communities.
