On June 29th, The President Tancredo Neves Rural Family House (CFR-PTN) was announced as one of the initiatives that were contemplated by the LED Movement Award – Light in Education, promoted by TV Globo and the Roberto Marinho Foundation that recognizes Brazilian projects that are revolutionizing education. This announcement took place during the network’s prime-time programming, after soap opera Pantanal, and counted with the participation of the CFR-PTN director, Thales Lima.

Besides the national visibility for the rural school partner of the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation in the Southern Bahia Lowlands, which will have its almost 20-year history portrayed through reports and interviews, the House will receive a financial contribution in the amount of R$ 200 thousand. This selection took into account innovation criteria, impact and scalability of the action. Only six initiatives in the country, of the total 3.4 thousand registered, were contemplated.

Festival

The school, along the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation, also participated in the 1st edition of the LED Festival – Light in Education, presenting a pitch about the awarded initiative at the event, which featured national and international speakers, workshops, a startup fair, artistic interventions and exchanges of knowledge on July 7 and 8 at the Museum of Tomorrow and the Rio Art Museum (MAR), in Rio de Janeiro.
